How To Create The Perfect Custom Gift Bag

Gift bags are more than lollipops and candy rings – in the corporate world, they’re a great way to network and market. Award employees of the year/month, thank fundraiser attendees, or welcome a new orientation group with a custom gift bag.

The key to creating a great gift bag is customizing each item within the bag. Anyone can throw a pen, pencil, t-shirt, and key chain together in a bag. By customizing everything with your company name, website, and even your phone number, you market your company and reinforce that you are a professional, organized, and trustworthy business.custom-gift-bag-items

To create the perfect custom gift bag, start by choosing which bag you’ll use. A simple drawstring bag is standard. You can choose one color or multicolor bags based on which option matches your company logo and brand best. Options like drawstring bags with a pocket add an extra touch. A simple drawstring bag works best for fundraisers and company events. If you’re planning an important conference or annual event, you may want to choose a high quality bag that has more every day value, like a laptop bag or duffel bag. All are easily customizable through screen printing or embroidery. Customize your bag with a fun graphic pertaining to your event, or keep it simple with your company name and logo.

Once you’ve decided on what bag to use and the design you’d like, choose what you want to go in the bag. If you’re hosting an awards ceremony, have trophies custom engraved with the receiver’s name and honorable title. For fundraisers, custom key chains, glasses, mugs, pens, and even dog tags are great items to include.

As you plan out your gift bags, think about what kind of apparel you want to include. Is this a summer event? Have t-shirts … Continue reading

Shark Week Shirts – Does It Get Any Better?

Among my favorite holidays-that-aren’t-real-holidays (ie my birthday, national donut day, etc) Shark Week is at the top of my list. This week long celebration of man’s most terrifying adversary – JAWS, anyone?- began in 1987 and continues to inform viewers with terrifying shark facts each year. Shark Week has grown so popular that its become a fashion statement in its own right! While not everyone can be as terrifyingly fashionable as this runway model, here are our top 5 Shark Week shirts.

1. It’s a bad week to be a seal

If you’ve watched any live television in the past few weeks, you’ve likely seen the Shark Week commercial with Snuffy the seal. Things don’t end well for poor Snuffy. To commemorate his (her?) short lived life, Discovery issued this Shark Week I Love Snuffy flip-up t-shirt.

2. Keep Calm and Swim Fast

Did you know that the Salmon shark, the world’s fastest shark, can swim up to 55 miles per hour? For those of you that just shrugged, thats 50 MPH faster than Olympian Michael Phelps can swim. Keep calm and swim faster. Swim really, really fast.

3. Polite Predators

You’ll never meet a more polite predator, though we doubt they’ll get a second invite to dinner. They can’t help themselves. It’s in their nature, okay?! While a large great white shark can go up to three months without eating, some of its relatives just can’t resist the urge.

4.  What’s better than a shark on a bike?

Nothing. The answer is absolutely nothing. Except maybe this shark with a mustache. (Okay, I realize this counts as two shirts, but they share the same whimsical category!)

How to Show Your Customer Appreciation and Why It’s Important

One of the biggest goals of any business owner is securing loyal customers that will return countless times and bring new customers with them. In order to reach this goal, it is important to keep one thing in mind – What is it that keeps you returning to your favorite companies? Companies that show appreciation for their customers tend to keep their customers coming back for more. Aside from being personable and responding quickly to any inquiries, the best way to show customer appreciation is to give your customers a small gift that will keep them thinking of you.

One of my favorite examples of this is Bob’s Discount Furniture. Inside of every one of their stores is a complimentary cafe that has freshly brewed coffee, warm cookies, and an assortment of candy to choose from. What’s not to like? This small addition to their stores makes their customer’s shopping experience much more enjoyable. While not every business can afford to give out fresh coffee and snacks, you can give something that your customers will use and appreciate.

How you choose to show your customer appreciation will largely depend on your budget. A new or smaller company may only be able to send a complimentary email or survey asking how their customer’s experience was. A larger company like Bob’s Discount Furniture may have the budget to install a small cafe in their business. Regardless, showing your customer appreciation is among your top priorities – no matter how much or how little you can afford. Something as small as a pen with your company’s name, telephone, and address or website printed on it can go a long way. Is your company hosting an event or fundraiser? Print custom shirts to give away or sell. If your business often goes door to … Continue reading

Our First Bike Night – Great Food, Cool Prizes, and Amazing Bikes

Nothing was more exciting than hosting our first bike night with the Sons of Thunder and The Roadside Grill. This past Saturday, we saw dozens of amazing bikes – some old, some new, many of them custom built. Harley Davidsons, Victories, Triumphs and many more bikes rolled in as the grill heated up and music began to play. While we had a great time walking around and seeing the different body styles, paint jobs, and custom parts, the most exciting part of the night was seeing which bikes won an award.

Each bike that pulled into the lot was assigned a number and automatically entered into a contest. The categories included Best Metric, Best Sports Bike, Best Custom Bike, People’s Choice, Oldest Bike, and Most Represented Group. Each winner was awarded a custom trophy after their name was announced. One lucky bike even won in two separate categories! Whether they won or not, everyone was excited and proud to show off their bikes.

One of the best parts of hosting an event like this is getting to meet new people and listen to their stories. Sometimes, they have useful advice like “don’t use anything other than Biker Wax on your bike” because it’s the best product to really make your bike shine (who knew?). For the most part though, we really enjoyed hanging around, checking out the bikes, and chowing down on some great food.

Check out some pictures from our event, and be sure to join us at the next one!
